Bird House
I finally finished the Bird House I made in a basket class. It was great fun but of course it is not the right time for birds to move in! The lid was supposed to be shaped like a dome, but mine started looking like a hat, so I just went with it. The flowers I used on the "hat" came from a millinery shop in downtown Dallas years ago. It was the most wonderful place, two stories lined with wooden shelves and drawers. They had hats and hat forms, flowers, feathers, ribbons and other hat trimmings. Some of the flowers and ribbons had been there a very long time. Unfortunately, the store is long gone.
