I started working on it again yesterday as a break from the "white" embroidery. It is not finished, but I am almost there. In case I didn't mention it before, the base of this piece is hand dyed cotton twill. I tore some of it into strips and wove them. A mono print on fabric was appliqued on top. Then it was all embroidery and more embroidery. The texture on each side is dyed scrim, couched down with buttonhole stitches. Dyed silk cord is mixed in there as well.

you already know how much I love this!! and everyone seems to be weaving....I want to do it too but I have a zillion other things going on.
