From A Pear Tree

Isn't this cool.
 I am so pleased.
This is a piece of cotton,
solar dyed in a jar of bright colored Bradford Pear leaves.
The fabric was in there a couple of weeks.
Most days the sun shown in,
 but not all.
I can hardly wait to sink another piece of fabric in the jar.

I love love love this! What beautiful color!
Do you think it would work if I just put a bradford pear in a jar with fabric?

So there were 6 jars on the shelf...have you unpacked the others are are they lingering longer in the sunbath?

Opps Sorry. I hate when that happens. The answer is "I don't know". My tree doesn't have pears. It is purely ornamental. I think the peel from a pear, wrapped up in fabric and steamed would work. A pear in a jar of water would just rot?
